2011 Super Bowl: Steelers To Take On Packers After AFC Championship Game Win

The Pittsburgh Steelers will travel to Arlington, Texas to play the NFC champion Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV. Pittsburgh beat the New York Jets 24-19 in a grueling AFC Championship Game at Heinz Field that came down to the final minutes. If today’s games are any indication, this could be a really great Super Bowl. We’ve had a good streak of close title games lately, haven’t we?

The game will be played on Feb. 6, broadcast on CBS, and is scheduled to kick off around 6:30 pm EST. It’ll be the first Super Bowl at JerryWorld, pitting two of the NFL’s most popular teams in its most ludicrous shrine to sport and personality.

This is the team’s first Super Bowl since its win in Super Bowl XLIII. It’s also the first time these teams have ever met each other in a title game.
