2011 Super Bowl: Date, Kickoff Time, TV Schedule, Location, And More

New, 3 comments

Super Bowl XLV will feature the NFC champion Green Bay Packers against either the Pittsburgh Steelers or New York Jets on Feb. 6 in Arlington, Texas' Cowboys Stadium. FOX will try to tell you to tune in around 1 am Thursday or so, but the thing is expected to kick off about 6:25 EST, a marvelously specific time, but nothing compared to the 8:07 starts we get to enjoy during MLB playoffs.

The Pack earned their way in by beating the Chicago Bears 21-14.

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are your announcers. Buck's presence ensures something completely unbelievable will occur and be undersold.

Christina Aguilera is handling the national anthem, and the sounds of the Black Eyed Peas will be your halftime bathroom break cue. Aguiliera's voice is wonderful except when she revs too hard and makes that RRRRRR sound, and you never know when she'll show up dressed up like a sexy tire fire, so get settled in early! The Peas are, of course, abominable as always, but honestly I'd take anything, up to and including this, over Tom Petty.

Packers fans should check in with Acme Packing Company as often as possible. Oh, and lots of people will say lots of things about the commercials. Yay, commercials.
