The Georgia Southern Eagles will host The Citadel Bulldogs for the school's annual homecoming game on Nov. 5.
The Eagles, 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the Southern Conference, are one of the top ranked teams in FBS this season. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, are in the middle of the pack, 4-4 overall and 2-4 in conference.
Georgia Southern, after opening the season 7-0 with only one victory, against Chattanooga, less than 14 points, will try to rebound after falling to Appalachian State 24-17 last weekend.
The Citadel is best known for being one of the last colleges in the U.S. not to accept female cadets as well as a semi-fictionalized description of it in alumni Pat Conroy's award-winning book, which was later made into a movie, The Lords of Discipline.
