Georgia Tech At Virginia Tech: Jackets And Hokies, Round 2

Georgia Tech (10-13, 3-7) returns to action this afternoon when they take on rival Virginia Tech (15-7, 5-4) in Blacksburg. The game tips-off at 1 p.m. and can be seen on the ACC Network.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off four straight losses including three at home. Most recently, Tech dropped a 72-63 decision to FSU on Thursday night. 

The Hokies have won five of their last seven but haven't played in eight days. They lost at Boston College 58-56 last Saturday.

In the first meeting between the two schools this season in January, Iman Shumpert put up the first triple-double for Tech in over two decades. The junior guard had 22 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, and came just three steals short of a quadruple-double to lead Tech to a 72-57 victory. Forward Brian Oliver added 28 points but will be out again today with a broken thumb. 

Tech is 0-7 on the road this season and will be attempting to get heir first road win. 

The game tips-off at 1 p.m. in Blacksburg, Va. It can be seen on the ACC Network and heard locally on 790 the Zone.
