Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets At Miami Hurricanes: Jackets Looking For First Road Win

Georgia Tech (10-10, 3-4) hits the road again tonight when it heads to south Florida to take on the Miami Hurricanes (12-9, 1-6). The Jackets are in dire need of a road win, having gone 0-6 on the road this year and 0-12 dating back through last season.

The Jackets are coming off a 74-63 defeat to Maryland at home on Sunday. Tech was led by Glen Rice Jr. with 16 points and Iman Shumpert who added 12.

The Hurricanes have lost four straight conference games, and their most recent outing was a close 72-68 loss at Virginia Tech this past Sunday. Miami is led in scoring this season by Malcolm Grant with 15.7 points per game and Durand Scott with 14.2. Reggie Johnson averages a double-double with 11.9 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.

Miami holds a slim edge in the series history with a 6-5 margin, including four of the last five. In last year's only meeting, James Dews hit a jump shot at the buzzer to give Miami the 64-62 win at Coral Gables.

The game is broadcast nationally on ESPN2 and tips-off at 7 p.m. It can be heard locally on 790 the Zone.
