You can find complete rosters for the Green Bay Packers and for the Pittsburgh Steelers elsewhere, but here’s a look at Peach State talent that will be on the sidelines come Super Bowl XLV kickoff time.
Steelers WR Hines Ward is the biggest name, hailing from Forest Park High in Clayton County before starring for the Georgia Bulldogs. He’s joined on Pittsburgh’s roster by LB Keyaron Fox, who went to Westlake High in Fulton County on his way to becoming a member of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. And DE Nick Eason, pride of Lyons, Georgia, played at Toombs County High and for Clemson.
Among potential Steelers inactives, RB Jonathan Dwyer played at Kell High and Georgia Tech, and OT Chris Scott of Riverdale played at Lovejoy and Tennessee.
The Packers are a little shorter on Georgia boys, listing Dublin-native and MTSU star LB Erik Walden (who might be out with an injury), Lincoln County’s First-team All-GHSA and eventual Dawgs DE Jarius Wynn, and seldom-used CB Josh Gordy of Washington County.
College Park’s (and Georgia Tech’s) Morgan Burnett has been out most of the season with an injury.
