2011 Southern Conference Tournament: Georgia Southern Vs. Appalachian State, College Of Charleston Favored

College of Charleston head coach Bobby Cremins has a chance to win his second Southern Conference basketball tournament title, and his first since Appalachian State's 1979 title. His last tourney win in any conference came in 1993 with Georgia Tech, his third ACC crown.

Boasting the SoCon's best overall record and tied with Wofford for the best in-conference mark, Cremins' Cougars will be favored to win.

The Georgia Southern Eagles have a tough draw in Appalachian State, though every draw's a tough one for GSU. The Eagles limp in with just one conference win, over the lowly Citadel.

The Southern Conference arranges its matchups in the same way as the SEC, meaning teams from the North and South divisions are paired up with other, instead of sorting everything by overall conference standing like the ACC does.
