Mike Minor receives his third start for the Atlanta group - his last outing was a few innings in a B game along with Brandon Beachy, who started for the Braves in today's B game. Coverage of that, or whatever is mentioned, anyway, will be posted here.
Brent Clevlen gets the start today in what has become a revolving door in right field lately. Jason Heyward remains out as a precaution due to a sore back. After hitting a home run and recording two hits yesterday, Brian McCann gets the day off in favor of Ross.
Martin Prado is in action again for what seems like the 20th game in a row. I know he needs reps in the outfield, but it does seem like he has played an awful lot for Spring Training. Same goes for Chipper for someone coming off knee surgery. He has been swinging the bat very well recently, though.
Pujols and Holliday are in the lineup for the Cardinals. While Holliday wrecked the Braves over the two-game stretch this past week, Pujols went 0-4 with two strikeouts in one game and didn't play the other. Freese and Rasmus are also starting, so Minor will see plenty of solid hitters during his outing.
The fact that Minor is starting against a potent Cardinals lineup and Beachy is on another field should tell you something about the fifth spot in the rotation. The Braves are set on giving Minor every opportunity, as expected.
