Braves Vs. Cardinals, Spring Training: Jason Heyward Remains Out As Braves Visit Cardinals Again

The Atlanta Braves stay in Jupiter to face the St. Louis Cardinals for a second straight day, hoping to do better than a 1-1 tie like yesterday. The game starts at 1:05.

Braves Lineup:
1. Martin Prado, 3B
2. Nate McLouth, CF
3. Brian McCann, C
4. Dan Uggla, 2B
5. Eric Hinske, DH
6. Freddie Freeman, 1B
7. Alex Gonzalez, SS
8. Jordan Schafer, RF
9. Matt Young, LF

Braves Pitchers: Derek Lowe, Jonny Venters, Scott Proctor, Craig Kimbrel

Cardinals Lineup:
1. Ryan Theriot, SS
2. Matt Carpenter, 3B
3. Albert Pujols, 1B
4. Matt Holliday, RF
5. Lance Berkman, DH
6. Colby Rasmus, CF
7. Yadier Molina, C
8. Skip Schumaker, 2B
9. Jon Jay, RF

Lowe looks to keep his great spring going, as does Venters, who has yet to allow a run in six innings. Proctor is getting another inning today.

It's good to see Young getting a start while Chipper rests. It shows the Braves are getting Young some at bats whenever they can. Schafer is in right field for Jason Heyward.

Heyward remains out after testing his back in batting practice. He was a game-time decision, so it doesn't look like he's good enough to return yet.

Pujols and Holliday remain in the lineup for the Cardinals for a second straight game. The Braves get their first look at Berkman, who is only hitting today. Unfortunately for him and the Cardinals, that won't be the case come April. Kyle McClellan gets his second start this spring against the Braves.
