Tigers Vs. Braves, Spring Training: Chipper Jones At Third Base, Randall Delgado In The Final Innings Of Today's Game

The Atlanta Braves play host to the Detroit Tigers today at 1:05 on ESPN. We have some pretty good stuff for you watch for during the game.

Braves Lineup:
1. Martin Prado, LF
2. Nate McLouth, CF
3. Chipper Jones, 3B
4. Brian McCann, C
5. Freddie Freeman, 1B
6. Alex Gonzalez, SS
7. Eric Hinske, DH
8. Brooks Conrad, 2B
9. Jose Constanza, RF
Jair Jurrjens, SP

Braves pitchers: Jair Jurrjens, Jonny Venters, Cory Gearrin, Stephen Marek, Randall Delgado

First of all, this is a pretty impressive list of pitchers taking the mound today. Jurrjens is getting his second start of spring and is looking to continue his great performance from the first day. Venters is Venters. Gearrin is looking to prove himself worthy of a bullpen spot, which he isn't far from doing. Marek has already proven himself worthy, but it's always worth watching his outings.

For the second straight day, a top 10 pitching prospect is taking the mound to finish things off. After Arodys Vizcaino shut down the Red Sox for the final two innings yesterday, Delgado will look to do the same against the Tigers in his first outing of spring. I have Delgado ranked No. 3 on my top 30 list. If you are able to catch only a couple innings of today's game, make it the final two.

Chipper Jones is getting his first start at third base this spring. As expected, his defense and range of motions will be closely watched. Most of the regulars are in the lineup, so enjoy a day of watching the starters getting some swings in.

As mentioned last night, Jason Heyward is getting a day off to rest his sore groin. It isn't said to be serious, just taking it easy.
