Georgia Tech At Wake Forest: Jackets' Best Chance Of Road Win

Georgia Tech (11-17, 3-11) will have its best shot at a road win when they take on Wake Forest (8-21, 1-13) tonight. The Jackets haven't won on the road in over a year, but get to play the ACC's last place team for a shot to break that streak. The Jackets won the first meeting between the two teams 74-39 in January. The 35-point margin was Tech's largest win in an ACC game ever.

Wake Forest has lost eight straight conference games and 13 of the last 14. Their average margin of defeat is 19.9 points per game in ACC play, with their only win coming by five points at home over Virginia. In their last outing, The Demon Deacons dropped a 63-49 decision at Clemson.

Georgia Tech's record in conference play isn't much better. The Jackets have lost eight straight as well since starting off 3-3 in the ACC. Tech has been an all-or-nothing team in the conference, winning three games by an average margin 23.3 points and losing the 11 games by 12.1 points. In Tech's last game, they came close to picking up the road win, falling at NC State 79-74.

Wake Forest has four guys averaging double figures in scoring, led by Travis McKie with 12.7 points per game.

The game tips off at 8 p.m. It can be seen regionally on the ACC Network (WATL in Atlanta) and heard locally on 790 the Zone.
