Twenty four of the best high school players in the nation will compete in the 2011 McDonald's All American game headlined by Kentucky signee Anthony Davis and Duke signee Austin Rivers. Davis and Rivers headline a West squad as the defacto No. 1 and No. 2 players in the country depending on what list you are looking at. Davis is just one of five future Wildcats spread across both rosters in what figures to be a showcase for Kentucky's incoming recruiting class.↵
Georgia fans will focus on the East team and Greenville's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope who will be the first Mcdonald's All American to play in Athens since Carlos Strong. While Davis and Rivers are big names on the West squad, the East doesn't have a shortage of big names with St. Patrick's Michael Gilchrist leading the way. Where will Gilchrist the No. 3 rated player in the country according to ESPN.com play next season? You guessed it, for John Calipari and Kentucky. Local fans will also recognize Milton High product Shannon Scott who will play for the East team and Ohio State next season.↵
Tip off from the United Center is scheduled for tonight at 10 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN.
