Michael Holley, Boston Globe columnist and author of a bunch of books about Boston sports, is working on one titled War Room that will involve Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff. Boston Sports Media uncovered some details about the book, which is set to release in October on Harper Collins.
Covering the branches of the Bill Belichick tree (ew!) extending from the New England Patriots to the Falcons and Kansas City Chiefs GM Scott Pioli, the book will span last season's training camp to the 2011 NFL Draft. It's called War Room, so surely we'll get detailed descriptions of each of Comrade Dimitroff's secret war room discussions with his generals. No. But it does sound cool.
Previously in Atlanta Falcons literature, there was Matt Winkeljohn's 2008 Tales from the Atlanta Falcons Sidelines and Furman Bisher's The Atlanta Falcons: Violence and Victory from 1973 and ... I think that's it. There are probably a bunch of comic books about Michael Vick or something, but that's pretty much as far as it goes.
