Mets Vs. Braves, Spring Training: Braves Give Core Of The Order Some Swings At Home

The Atlanta Braves host the New York Mets at Lake Buena Vista today. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05.

Braves Lineup:
1. Nate McLouth, CF
2. Joe Mather, LF
3. Chipper Jones, 3B
4. Brian McCann, C
5. Dan Uggla, 2B
6. Eric Hinske, 1B
7. Ed Lucas, SS
8. Jordan Schafer, RF
9. Derek Lowe, SP

I have yet to see a pitching schedule, so we'll look at this one as a surprise. No DH today, so Lowe will get at least one swing in. Going by how Fredi Gonzalez has treated hitters with little power so far this spring, Lowe may drag bunt for all I know.

Hitting Mather second instead of Schafer seems to be a sign of confidence for Mather. Or Fredi just wants to keep the lineup from being three lefties and a switch hitter at the top. Chipper is back at third base for the second time this spring.
