Seven Georgia Football Players Report Stolen Electronics After Faculty Event

Georgia Bulldogs football hosted a Football Faculty Appreciation Day last Thursday, with police confirming Monday reports of $1,330 worth of electronics being stolen from player lockers during the event. The afflicted players -- Alec OgletreeKenarious GatesJamel Allen, Abry Jones, Jordan Love, Rhett McGowan, and Shawn Williams --  were unharmed but presumably shaken by the Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall locker room thief.

This event could've only happened at Georgia, though I'm shocked to discover it didn't involve Washaun Ealey. Wait a second ... they haven't caught the intruder yet. I'm told Caleb King is on the case, however*.

The brand-new facility's tight security system, which can be viewed in this video, was dialed down for the event. The items gone missing were reportedly "all electronics," with multiple iPods and iPhones among the haul. Watch that video again, seriously, because there were tons and tons of Apple products in it. Could all just be a misunderstanding, as one could be fooled into thinking Apple electronics are the equivalent of tissue paper in Butts-Mehre.

* - I'm 99.9 percent certain Ealey, King, and all other UGA football players are innocent in this case.
