2011 NFL Preseason Schedules Announced Today: Falcons To Discover Hypothetical Opponents

The NFL will announce the 2011 preseason schedules for all 32 teams Tuesday, a charming gesture that implies the league wants you to believe pro football will occur this autumn, ongoing player lockout be damned. Adorable!

The Atlanta Falcons will probably play the Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Baltimore Ravens, since that always seems to happen. Those teams are close geographically and out of conference, the two main They probably won't play the New England Patriots, as the two BFF teams spend enough time hanging out with each other as it is.

Should we look back on the preseason schedules handed to the team in the Mike Smith era? For reference, the 2010 schedule featured the Kansas City Chiefs, Pats, Miami Dolphins, and Jaguars, while 2009's included the Detroit Lions, St. Louis Rams, San Diego Chargers, and Ravens. '08 brought about games against the Jags, Indianapolis Colts, Titans, and Ravens.
