After just 19 games this season, the Atlanta Braves find themselves in fourth place in the National League East standings, four games behind the division leading Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves are just 8-11 after losing six of their last ten games. Atlanta finishes up their series with Dodgers before heading to San Francisco where they open a three game set over the weekend.
Philadelphia leads the division with an 11-6 mark. The Phillies open a four game set tonight in San Diego. Right behind Philadelphia is Florida who finds themselves 10-6 and just a half game out of first place. The Marlins have won two games in a row and seven of their last ten. Florida goes for a series sweep of Pittsburgh tonight before opening a weekend series with the Rockies on Friday.
The Washington Nationals are in third place with a 9-8 record, two games behind Philadelphia and two games ahead of Atlanta. New York brings up the rear at 5-13 and 6.5 game out of first place. The Mets have lost two in a row and nine of their last ten.
