The defending Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream will have two player representatives and one coach at Team USA Training Camp when it kicks off May 10th in Las Vegas. Both Angel McCoughtry and Lindsey Harding will be amongst 22 players that will participate at the camp. In addition to McCoughtry and Harding, Atlanta Dream head coach Marynell Meadors will serve as a coach at the training camp.
"I'm really looking forward to working with Geno, Doug and Jen again," said Meadors, who helped the Dream to the WNBA Finals last season. "I really thought that last year in the Czech Republic for the World Championship, the staff had so much chemistry and worked together so well, and I thought it carried over to the team. They worked together so well, too. Hopefully we can keep all that going and keep winning, that's the key."
Angel McCoughtry helped the Dream to the WNBA Finals last summer. McCoughtry earned an All-Star selection in just her second season and was the WNBA's third leading scorer at 21.1 points per game. McCoughtry was also a second team All-WNBA selection and a First Team All Defense.
Lindsey Harding spent last season with the Washington Mystics where she averaged 12.1 points and four assists. Harding was acquired by the Dream in a draft day trade in April.
