2012 Football Recruiting: Rivals Top 100 Lists Seven Georgia High School Players

Rivals.com has unveiled its 2012 football Top 100 recruiting prospects list, featuring seven players from Georgia high schools. As far as I can tell that ranks the Peach State fourth behind Texas, California and Florida, as is custom. Let's meet our contestants, as we have a long recruiting road ahead of us until 2012 National Signing Day.

Millen County DT Jonathan Taylor ranks No. 36 and sixth at his position, with offers from like the entire SEC and ACC (this goes for pretty much all these guys, so ... ) including the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The six-foot-four, 315-pounder's most amusing offer: Illinois!

Stone Mountain LB Ukeme Eligwe, No. 42, is already committed to the Florida St. Seminoles, as five of the top 100 already are, including the overall No. 2, Texas DE Mario Edwards. There is indeed something to all that talk FSU fans have been doing, ACC folks.

No. 39, OLB Josh Harvey-Clemons of Lowndes in Valdosta, appears to have UGA among his top choices, as does Sandy Creek WR JaQuay Williams (No. 94) and No. 56, DE Jordan Jenkins of Harris County, who's also interested in Tech.

Callaway TE Ricky Parks, ranked No. 92, has drawn interest from as far away as the Oregon Ducks, while St. Pius X CB Geno Smith's list of offers includes a fourth of the programs that comprise FBS football -- not bad for a guy ranked No. 47 in the country.
