MLB Standings Update, NL East: Two Game Losing Streak Has Braves Five Back Of Phillies

After taking two out of three games from the Philadelphia Phillies over the weekend, the Atlanta Braves have stumbled with two straight losses to the Washington Nationals at home. Even with the two game slide, Atlanta stands at 20-18 and has won seven of its last ten games. Currently the Braves sit two games back of the Florida Marlins for second and five games back of the Phillies for first in the division.

At 24-12, Philadelphia boasts the best record in the National League and leads the N.L. East by three games over the surprising Florida Marlins. By virtue of the Nationals two game winning streak in Atlanta they have reached the .500 mark at 18-18 and are one full game behind the Braves for third place. The Mets are in last place in the division at 16-20 and are 5-5 over their last 10 games.
