Mark Fox's Georgia Bulldogs will be playing host to the Cincinnati Bearcats on Dec. 2 as a part of the expanded 2011 Big East/SEC challenge. Georgia last participated in the event in 2009 when they lost to St John's at Madison Square Garden. This year's event expands to include all twelve teams from the SEC matching up against Big East squads with home games split evenly between the two conferences.
The Bearcats return their top four scorers from last years NCAA Tournament team that went 26-9. Georgia finished with a 21-12 record but lost its top two players in juniors Trey Thompkins and Travis Leslie. The Bulldogs next season will lean on senior guards Gerald Robinson and Dustin Ware as well as top newcomer Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
