ACC Baseball Tournament Schedule: Georgia Tech Opens Action Wednesday Against Clemson

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (39-17, 22-8) enter the 2011 ACC Tournament coming off one of the best regular seasons in school history, tying for the regular season conference crown and earning the No. 3 seed. The 22 wins in ACC play ties a team record with the 2005 squad. 

The Jackets open play Wednesday at 11 a.m. against No. 6 Clemson at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, N.C. Tech lost two of three on the road at Clemson less than a month ago and enters the tournament with a 39-17 record, and 17-13 in the ACC. The Tigers gave Friday starter Mark Pope only his third loss all season in a 4-2 victory. 

Thursday's matchup is at 7 p.m. against No. 7 NC State. Tech had little difficulty in sweeping the Wolfpack in mid-March at home, winning by scores of 9-2, 12-0, and 11-4. The Jackets face Atlantic Division champion Florida State Friday at 3 p.m. The two teams did not meet this season.

If the Jackets can advance out of the group play, the will get a day off on Saturday before the championship on Sunday. The full 2011 ACC Tournament schedule can be seen below, and all games can be seen on Fox Sports South.

3 p.m. - Miami vs. Wake Forest
7 p.m. - Virginia vs. North Carolina

Sunday, May 29 
1 p.m. - Pool A winner vs. Pool B winner
