Uncle Mo, who's been among the 2011 Kentucky Derby's top two contenders since odds came out, was scratched Friday due to slow recovery from a stomach illness first spotted after his Wood Memorial loss. This leaves Dialed In as the clear 1/1 favorite, having narrowed the field to only 19 horses. The latest odds had Uncle Mo as a 9/2 favorite.
Nehro (5/1), along with Shackleford, Soldat and Archarcharch (all 8/1) are the horses most likely to benefit from Uncle Mo's omission, as they rounded out the previous top five. The odds of Atlanta's (claim it!) Mucho Macho Man winning have also improved.
