2011 Kentucky Derby Post Positions Hurt Decisive Moment, Archarcharch

The post positions at the 2011 Kentucky Derby didn't damage the winning chances of too many contenders, other than poor Watch Me Go, writes And Down The Stretch They Come's Matt Gardner. Archarcharch and Decisive Moment face challenges due to their wide posts, but both should still be able to compete. Brilliant Speed also has a tough draw, but Gardner likes him to resoundingly overcome that starting position.

What about Nehro, who's way out there at No. 19? Gardner thinks the spot suits his style just fine. Nehro's odds have yet to take a dip, so the public at large doesn't appear to disagree.
