David Beckham Might Name Next Kid Atlanta, Leading To MLS Expansion Speculation Somehow

We know Major League Soccer is looking to make a move south in the coming years, with Atlanta among the most likely first destinations. We also know Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham and wife Victoria Beckham might name their fourth child Atlanta, thus, yes! Atlanta is getting a MLS team. Wait, what?

It's just a theory at this point, but please allow Blogging While Blue to explain:

When David Beckham, at the time arguably international soccer's biggest star, agreed to leave Europe for the Los Angeles Galaxy of the then-fledging Major League Soccer, his contract gave him the right to buy the league's yet to be established 20th franchise after his playing career ends. Beckham is now in the final year of his contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy.

You see, man, it all lines up. That's actually not a bad slice of speculation when you look at it. Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed also recently ham-fistedly said the city would soon have something to offer to replace the departing Atlanta Thrashers, leading to further MLS speculation, at least half of which was done by me, for which I apologize. No, I do not.
