NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series makes its first of two annual trips to the Michigan International Speedway. Nestled in the Irish Hills, MIS sits in the shadow of the Motor City, making both events there significant events on the NASCAR schedule. This weekend's Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 is a race all four manufacturers want to win, especially Detroit's "Big Three."
Last year, it was a Toyota going to victory lane, as Denny Hamlin had the dominant car throughout the event and recorded his fifth of eight 2010 victories. Kevin Harvick, meanwhile, took Richard Childress Racing's Chevrolet to victory lane in August. Chevy and Toyota also won the two races in 2009 following a stretch of at least one win by Ford each year from 2002 to 2008.
