Cannot imagine being Robert Horry today. The former All-SEC at Alabama recently lost his 17-year-old daughter to a genetic disorder. He published a letter to her Sunday on NBA.com that tore me apart.
↵Since becoming a father, I've sometimes wondered how it could even be possible to come back from losing a child. Horry seems to be doing it about as well as anybody could hope for.
↵But it's the calendar's most important holiday, and I'm not trying to bum anybody out. Just wanted to make sure I'm not the only one weeping onto my breakfast ribs platter. If your dad's no longer around, think about making a donation to Horry's foundation as your gift.
