Jordan Adams Commits To UCLA Basketball Over UGA, Others

As we feared when the UCLA Bruins hired Atlanta AAU coach Korey McCray as a new assistant, the Los Angeles program has made inroads into Peach State basketball recruiting. But did anybody see it having an impact so quickly?

On Monday, four-star Jordan Adams of Virginia's Oak Hill Academy, one of McCray's Atlanta Celtics players, committed to the Bruins over the Georgia Bulldogs, Memphis Tigers and Miami Hurricanes. These things happen, of course, though it's unsettling to see the coach responsible for John Hollinger's "Howland variable" nabbing talented recruits with Atlanta ties away from Athens.

The nation's No. 18 small forward according to Rivals, the six-foot-five Adams was also the No. 69-ranked player in the nation. He averaged almost a double-double as a senior while shooting nearly 90 percent from the free throw line.
