Atlanta Braves Lineup, 6/27: Jason Heyward, Leadoff Hitter

Holy crap.

If this isn't the most bizarre lineup of the season (or the past 20 seasons, really), I'm not sure what is. Here is tonight's lineup as the Braves take on the Seattle Mariners:

↵

Jason Heyward - RF
Julio Lugo - 3B
Brian McCann - C
Chipper Jones - DH
Freddie Freeman - 1B
Dan Uggla - 2B
Alex Gonzalez - SS
Nate McLouth - CF
Wilkin Ramirez - LF

I'm not sure if I should cry, laugh, scream, or as Peter Hjort of Capitol Avenue said, "throw a brick at my computer because Julio Lugo is batting 2nd."

↵

I'm really intrigued by the idea of batting Jason Heyward leadoff and that could allow Martin Prado to become the 2nd hitter once he returns in a week or so. Also good to see Wilkin Ramirez get a start. Julio Lugo hitting in the lineup, let alone at the most important spot in the lineup, is a disaster, though.

Fredi Gonzalez is a mad man.
