Godfrey Myles, a former All-SEC first-teamer as a member of the Florida Gators, has suffered a massive heart attack according to ESPN Radio's Brady Ackerman, a former Gators RB. Ackerman reports Myles is on life support, though teammates aren't yet sure at which hospital. Florida football's official Twitter account appears to confirm the news.
A Miami native, Myles played for Florida from 1987 through 1990, being named a team captain and earning an All-America honorable mention before being selected in the 1991 NFL Draft's third round by the Dallas Cowboys. He played sparingly in six years in the NFL, earning a trio of Super Bowl rings while recording 111 tackles and a pair of interceptions.
Myles was most recently in the news after reportedly being indicted for mortgage fraud.
