Mystics Vs. Dream: Lindsey Harding Prepares To Face Former Club For First Time

Both Atlanta and Washington head into tomorrow's Nationally televised match up not knowing quite who either side will have available to play. Atlanta forward Angel McCoughtry sat out the Dream's season opening loss to the New York Liberty with a sprained knee that she suffered in practice.

Washington also lost its season opener to the Connecticut Sun and was without Alana Beard who is out with a foot injury. Rookie Ta'Shia Phillips suffered an ankle sprain in that game and neither Beard nor Phillips practiced on Wednesday and both could miss Thursday's game putting the Sun down to just eight players.

McCoughtry is listed as day to day for Atlanta and could make her return on Thursday. Coach Marynell Meadors told the AJC's Doug Roberson that it was possible but Atlanta's trainers needed to wait and see how McCoughtry's knee responded to Wednesday's practice. Still there is hope that she will make an appearance in Thursday night's game.

Another subplot to this match up was the draft day trade that the two teams made where the Dream sent Ta'Shia Phillips and Kelly Miller to Washington for Lindsey Harding. Harding had nine points and nine assists in her first game with the Dream.

Atlanta defeated the No. 1 seed Washington in last year's playoffs during their run to the WNBA Finals. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Philips Arena and will be televised on ESPN2.
