Georgia State football is a little over a month from beginning its second season but they have already made a huge impact on the recruiting trail securing their commitment No. 6 of the 2012 recruiting cycle. Safety Alex Reason out of West Mesquite HS in Mesquite, Texas verbally committed today announcing his decision via his Facebook page.
Reason is a 6'1, 190lbs free safety/rover prospect in the Panthers 3-4 has very good speed and flies to the football. He is a reckless tackler, very good in run support and swarms to the football. The Panthers were the first team to publically offer Reason and he is planning to visit campus in the next week or so. This summer Alex has camped at Oklahoma and Houston.
Reason joins verbal commitments RB Jonathan Jean-Bart, WR Robert Theus, LB Joseph Peterson, OG Aaron Thomas and OLB Bryan Williams this month. Georgia State football is expected to sign 18-20 players next February.
