And now we're back in our happy place: multiple respected NFL writers disagree completely on a story involving the Atlanta Falcons. After Jason La Canfora and D. Orlando Ledbetter declared the Falcons to be out of the running for Minnesota Vikings DE Ray Edwards, ESPN's John Clayton sided with Len Pasquarelli, who started this whole thing off to begin with.
In a Monday appearance on Seattle radio, Clayton said the Seattle Seahawks are the front-runner for Edwards' services, but listed the Falcons as his dark horse pick. He said the same thing in a free agency column published Monday.
Edwards is clearly not entirely happy with Minnesota, though he says he'd consider a serious offer. He also downplayed rumors of the Philadelphia Eagles being the leader for his rights. The image-conscious Falcons might need an extra moment to think about bringing on a player publicly expressing displeasure with his current employer, but there's little question he's the most talented pass rusher on the market.
