Falcons Friday Night Lights 2011 Set For Norcross High On August 5

Atlanta Falcons fans went from having nothing to talk about to being BOMBARDED WITH NEWS FROM ALL ANGLES in a matter of hours. The latest: the team will hold its free, annual Friday Night Lights scrimmage on August 5 at Norcross High School's Blue Devil Stadium, home of the Blue Devils, at 7 pm ET.

That's the night before Deion Sanders gets inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, so BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY.

Last year's event at North Gwinnett High was pretty fun, as were the previous two years, even though Mike Smith's cockamamie scoring system takes a while to figure out is impossible to figure out. Jessie Tuggle was among the Dirty Birds dignitaries who made it out to the event, and one would have to presume something similar for this year.

For most Falcons fans, this will be the first chance to see Julio Jones in live, red-and-black-clad action. It's also football, and you like football.
