NFL Free Agency Rumors: DE Jason Babin Says Falcons Among Suitors

Having missed out on the well-compensated Charles Johnson in free agency, the Atlanta Falcons would next turn their attention to Ray Edwards, most have assumed. That may be the case, though several national writers have shot down the idea that the Falcons are all that in love with Edwards.

Here's a defensive end who, like Johnson, says the Falcons are interested: 30-year-old Tennessee Titans free agent DE Jason Babin, a 2010 Pro Bowler. You may also remember him from stints with the Texas, Chiefs and Eagles. Like Johnson, he kind of blew up out of nowhere, posting 12.5 sacks last year after never topping five in a single season before.

He told Jason Wyatt that the Bears, Eagles and Bills join the Falcons in soliciting his services. Well, if the Eagles want him back, that's a good sign I guess. The Titans have yet to make him an offer.
