Tyson Clabo's Falcons Contract Reportedly $25 Million-Plus Over Five Years

Thursday night, Atlanta Falcons fans got a piece of news worth waiting for. RT Tyson Clabo was reported as having agreed to a new five-year deal. But wait, there's more. What would you expect to pay for a Pro Bowl tackle who hasn't missed a game in years?

Jason La Canfora reported Clabo will make $25 million, or as much as $27 million, over the course of the deal, with $11.5 million guaranteed. That sounds like a really good deal. Some had pegged the Buffalo Bills offer as being in the neighborhood of $7 million per year, so it sounds like Clabo gave the Falcons a significant hometown discount. Makes that extra negotiating time seem worth it after all.
