Hines Ward Arrested For Driving Under The Influence In DeKalb County, According To Report

A long streak without any arrests of Georgia Bulldogs football players appears to have been broken, in a sense. Hines Ward of the Pittsburgh Steelers was arrested Saturday morning in DeKalb County for driving under the influence, according to a TMZ report complete with mugshot

According to the report, Ward faced a $1,000 bond, which he posted.

Before you rush to judgment, recall the Derek Lowe incident, which sounded like something out of Fast & Furious at first but turned out to make the police officer look worse than it did the Atlanta Braves pitcher. And let's remember the last time TMZ accused an Atlanta athlete of wrongdoing. Still, those particular scenarios are very rare outcomes as far as this kind of thing goes.

Born in Seoul and raised in East Point, the Atlanta resident's reputation, off the field at least, has been virtually spotless to this point. He's known for his entrepreneurship and international charity work. Oh, and winning some dancing show.
