Jamaal Anderson Lands With Colts After Falcons Cut, According To Report

According to Pro Football Talk, former Atlanta Falcons DL Jamaal Anderson has signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts. Anderson was cut Friday morning in a move that appeared to help make room for incoming DE Ray Edwards, Atlanta's big free agency prize of the year.

Anderson never lived up to his draft standing during his time in Atlanta, producing only about one sack per season as a defensive end. He moved inside toward the end of his Falcons stint, where he was more effective, but still not quite valuable enough to justify what was still a top-10 pick's salary.

Remember, rookies didn't always sign deals for like $39,000, all guaranteed!

The Colts have the NFL's best bookend set of pass rushing ends, so Anderson won't be under any pressure to carry the load himself. He'll also have plenty of talent to learn from. Might be a good situation for him.
