Kennesaw State Football To Be Established 2013 Or 2015 Or So

When the Kennesaw St. Owls announced their inaugural football season would possibly come in 2014, it seems they were going with the median estimate. President Daniel Papp cautioned during and after the initial declaration that the program could hit the ground in 2013 if all went exceedingly well, while 2014 would be the more likely goal.

New athletic director Vaughn Williams has dropped the 2015 mention a few times since taking office, with the latter date now starting to look like a strong contender as 2013 slumps from the picture.

John Bednarowski of the Marietta Daily Journal has an excellent breakdown of the timeline as it can best be ascertained at this point. One complication was the school's lack of an athletic association, which is being rectified. The economy may require that initial $7 million estimated startup cost to rise significantly, but Senator Clay Davis quooooooooooooooooooote (all of this money should be used to expand Lake Allatoona into a sea worthy of Mike Leach).
