Texas A&M-To-SEC Conversations 'Being Had,' Says Governor Rick Perry

Here we have the first actual, non-message board news to report in the somehow-ongoing saga of the Texas A&M Aggies' long-supposed flight to the SEC: Texas governor Rick Perry said, "As far as I know, conversations are being had" when asked about the rumors. He then deferred to College Station's decision-makers themselves.

Perry is an Aggie alum and the most powerful individual in the state of Texas short of Bevo. Hate to say it, but sort of feel there's at least a tiny something to it, even if it's just Texas A&M talking amongst itself or Texas A&M and the SEC conducting basic due diligence upon each other (lewd!).

Or it could be Perry attempting to provide a little substance to what's up until now been a whole lot of empty shouting about absolutely nothing concrete.
