PGA Championship 2011 Leaderboard Update: Bubba Watson Crashes, Steve Stricker Holds Lead

Local favorite Bubba Watson started the 2011 PGA Championship hot, putting up birdies on four of his first six holes to place himself among the top of the leaderboard. After a disastrous middle and end, however, he's already got some work to do in order to make the cut. Watson is 4-over at the end of his round.

Steve Stricker, however, is hanging on to his lead, cruising to an impressive 7-under through 15 holes. He's followed by Jerry Kelly and Alexander Noren, both 5-under through 14. John Senden and Bill Haas, each 3-under, round out the top five.

Tiger Woods finished his day 7-over. That's not too good! Defending champ Martin Kaymer is even through one hole.

Tourney favorite Rory McIlroy is scheduled to tee off in just a few, with Georgia Tech's Matt Kuchar also among the players left to begin.
