Turf Show Times is doing a mighty fine job of staying on top of the latest Jerious Norwood news, collecting reports detailing each step of his journey to signing with the St. Louis Rams. According to reports he's visited Rams Park, taken a physical and had a team picture after being taken out for dinner by the team Monday night. The Rams have even teased a free agency announcement later Tuesday.
Good for Norwood, a talented player who for one reason (Bobby Petrino) or another (constant injuries) wasn't able to make a sustained impact in Atlanta. It'll be bittersweet watching him succeed elsewhere. He'll be reunited with his college coach, Sylvester Croom, who coaches backs in St. Louis, plus Harvey Dahl.
On the positive side, this does take another team out of the running for Jason Snelling. There haven't been any reports of teams besides the Giants and Rams showing interest in Snelling, unless if you count the Bengals and Dolphins murmurs, which were very murmury.
