2012 Georgia State Football Recruiting: DE Sebastian Rice Commits to Panthers

Georgia State football opened their 2011 on the field with a blowout victory and continued to roll off the field as well landing another Georgia prospect for the 2012 recruiting cycle. Per Keith Neibuhr of Rivals.com, Grayson HS Sebastain Rice has verbally committed to the Panthers coaching staff giving the Panthers eight players from the state of Georgia thus far.

Rice is a 6’4, 260lbs strongside defensive end with very good quickness and tackling ability. He is very quick out of his stance and has very good lower body strength. Sebastian has tremendous size and will likely take the place vacated once Senior Christo Bilukidi graduates. His frame could easily hold 25-30lbs with college level strength and conditioning. He is also an excellent student claiming a 3.4 GPA. Sebastian chose Georgia State over offers from Georgia Southern and  Western Carolina.

Junior Highlights:

Rice joins Grayson teammate Garrett Gorringe in the Class of 2012 and is the second defensive end prospect to pledge his services, joining Liberty County HS Melvin King, to coach Bill Curry this recruiting cycle. Georgia State football expects to sign between 18-22 players in February.
