Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets A-back Orwin Smith dressed in preparation for the Yellow Jackets' ACC Championship Game tussle with the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday night, but ended up not participating in Georgia Tech's loss to the Seminoles.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Smith had missed an entire week's worth of practice after missing the Yellow Jackets' game against the Georgia Bulldogs, but dressed for Saturday's game anyway. He was seen walking the sidelines without his helmet, which according to the report, indicated he was not being counted on to participate at all during the game.
B.J. Bostic and Robbie Godhigh carried some of the load in the Georgia Tech offensive attack against the Seminoles, rushing for a combined 60 yards. Georgia Tech running back David Sims led the team with 91 rushing yards. In the Yellow Jackets' loss, the team combined for 183 yards rushing against 118 yards passing.
