The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets faced off against the No. 13 Florida State Seminoles on Saturday with a chance to bring home the Atlantic Coast Conference and while head coach Paul Johnson liked the team's effort via Ken Sugiura The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the team came up just short.

After finding themselves down 21-6 at halftime, Georgia Tech would not go down without a fight, scoring the only points in the second half. Unfortunately for the Yellow Jackets, the team ran out of time to continue to put points up on the board.

Yellow Jackets head coach Paul Johnson talked highly of his team's effort postgame, noting how the team has never quit all season and would respond with a punch of their own against the Seminoles.

"You know, the team responded the way I thought they would respond. You know, this team really hasn't ever quit. I mean, some people might want to say that, but they haven't ever really quit."

The Yellow Jackets finished the regular season at 6-7 on the season, but a strong 5-3 record in conference play. Georgia Tech represented the Coastal division in the ACC, while Florida State won the Atlantic division.
