Alabama vs. Georgia: Junior WR Rantavious Wooten ready to embrace SEC Championship game

Rantavious Wooten missed the SEC title game in 2011, but he's ready for the game this year.

Rantavious Wooten is looking forward to his first SEC Championship game, says Dog Bytes. The wide receiver was not with the Bulldogs when the team faced the LSU Tigers for the 2011 SEC Championship, having redshirted most of the 2011 season with a concussion sustained in a car accident.

Wooten played in only three games of the 2011 season, but in 2012 he's seen the field in nine of UGA's 12 games. He has 15 catches for 187 yards this season, including a 38-yard touchdown strike in the season-opening win over the Buffalo Bulls. The 5'10, 179-pound redshirt junior is preparing for the atmosphere of a title game, but trying not to get too far ahead of himself in anticipation. As he told Dog Bytes:

"I want to experience it for myself. I haven't asked any of the guys about the game from last year. They talk about it, but I don't really pay attention to it. I want to be in the moment and not think too much. I just want to let the moment happen, embrace it and be ready."

LSU won the SEC title in 2011, beating the Bulldogs 42-10. Georgia faces the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2012, once again as the underdog.
