Georgia Tech head football coach Paul Johnson isn't giving anything away while his team prepares for its Sun Bowl matchup with the USC Trojans. As Ken Sugiura of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution writes, Johnson isn't saying how he'll deploy his two quarterbacks, Tevin Washington and Vad Lee.
Johnson has used both quarterbacks in the Yellow Jackets' last seven games, but he wouldn't specify who would start or how much either would play in the bowl game. He did say both would play, however.
Quarterbacks coach Brian Bohannon said that who plays or starts would have no bearing on the quarterback situation going into next season, and that the team is only focused on what's best for the team for this particular game:
"The bottom line is, we're not thinking about next year," he said. "We're thinking about winning that game, because that's a big deal, to win that last game."
Georgia Tech (6-7) and Southern California (7-5) meet in the Sun Bowl on New Year's Eve in El Paso, Texas. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m. ET.
