The Atlanta Hawks led for the entire game before a bad fourth quarter as they blew a nine-point lead to the Charlotte Bobcats and were forced into overtime for the second straight night. The Bobcats tied the game with six seconds left when Boris Diaw put back in a missed layup by D.J. Augustin. The Hawks had a chance to win the game but Al Horford missed a 17-foot shot.
The Bobcats has one last chance to win the game as they called a timeout with one second left, but Diaw could not land a 15-footer to win the game. This time around the Hawks were able to be victorious and won 102-96 as the outscored the Bobcats 11-5 in overtime. Last night the Hawks lost to the Miami Head in triple overtime.
The Hawks had five players score in double figures and were led by Josh Smith's 23 points and he also contributed with 13 rebounds.
