The Georgia Southern Eagles will play host to the Wofford Terriers Saturday evening in Paulson Stadium.
In what should prove to be a terrific Southern Conference showdown, the Eagles will look to hand Wofford its first loss of the 2012 season. Georgia Southern appears capable of such a feat considering its 4-1 record and 3-1 mark inside the conference.
In their last game, the Eagles dismantled the Western Carolina Catamounts, 45-13, on the road. Amazingly, they racked up a whopping 614 rushing yards on 79 carries. Darreion Robinson, Dominique Swope and Williams Banks each amassed more than 100 yards on the ground.
Quarterback Jerick McKinnon only threw four passes and connected on two of them, both of which went for touchdowns.
Wofford is coming in off of a 20-17 victory at home against the Furman Paladins. Senior running back Eric Breitenstein was the offensive star for the Terriers, rushing for 158 yards on 21 attempts.
