The Georgia Bulldogs look to get back on track this Saturday, when they take on the Kentucky Wildcats in an SEC showdown.
On Wednesday, Georgia released its official injury report for the game, and three Bulldogs missed practice. Running back Ken Malcome and defensive end Dexter Morant missed practice because of an undisclosed illness.
Linebacker Jarvis Jones missed practice, and is dealing with a sprained ankle. Georgia head coach Mark Richt said in his weekly press conference that he isn't ready to rule Jones out for this weekend's game against Kentucky, though:
"We'll see. We're not counting him out yet. He had been running on a treadmill underwater and did extremely well. We figured when we put him on land, he'd hit the ground running literally, but he wasn't ready to practice."
Richt was adamant that they wouldn't hold their best player out to keep him healthy for the Florida game.
Georgia is taking on a much lesser foe this weekend, as the Wildcats bring a 1-6 record into the contest. Kentucky ranks 114th in the nation in points per game, scoring just 18.6 per contest this season.
While Richt says he won't hold Jones out if he's healthy, look to the Bulldogs' coaching staff to err on the side of caution.
